Reed Elsevier NV appoints Supervisory Board member
Reed Elsevier NV announced today that at an Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) of shareholders, held in Amsterdam on 13 January 2010, a resolution to appoint Mrs Marike van Lier Lels as a member of the Supervisory Board was approved with immediate effect.
Mrs Van Lier Lels will take on the role that Mrs Dien de Boer-Kruyt has held as a member of the Supervisory Board of the company since 2000 in view of the retirement of Mrs De Boer-Kruyt at the close of the annual general shareholders meeting on 20 April 2010.
The EGM also approved a partial amendment of the articles of association of the company to include the municipality of Haarlemmermeer as a possible venue for a general meeting of shareholders.
