‘One of my most memorable events was attending the White House Summit on cybersecurity hearing President Obama speak’
I lead the fraud and identity market planning team at LexisNexis Risk Solutions. Helping organisations improve the way they vet identities, investigate fraudulent transactions and improve their business processes by delivering best in breed risk solutions to the marketplace.
Organisations around the world are challenged with trying to grow their customer base while balancing the risks associated with new account opening and protecting against fraudulent access to customer accounts. So my team is constantly faced with identifying and addressing new threats. My team and I help solve real-world problems associated with opening financial accounts, making ecommerce purchases and even accessing personal health information. I work with an amazing internal team that focuses on all aspects of bringing these solutions to the market.
I also frequently have the opportunity to represent LexisNexis Risk Solutions at industry events throughout the world, attending events held at the United Nations and the US Embassies in multiple countries. One of my most memorable events was attending the White House Summit on cybersecurity with our CEO, Mark Kelsey and hearing President Obama speak along with several Cabinet and Cabinet-level officials and CEOs of top US companies.
Our company understands the importance of being involved in the broader marketplace as both a thought leader and solution provider, so I am encouraged to be involved in fraud or identity related initiatives and organisations. For two years, I was elected to serve as the Plenary Chair of the Identity Ecosystem Steering Group (IDESG), the national organisation formed by the White House’s National Strategy for Trusted Identities in Cyberspace, to administer the development and adoption of the Identity Ecosystem Framework. I also serve as an advisory board member of the University of Texas - Center for Identity, the Open Identity Exchange and the Greater Alpharetta Tech Network.
I recently celebrated my tenth anniversary with LexisNexis Risk Solutions. I am proud to work for a company that not only helps solve real-world problems, but also encourages and supports its employees to be involved in the local community. One of the many benefits at RELX is an annual allocation of hours used to volunteer in the community. I’ve been able to use my hours volunteering at local food banks and parks and also to travel to Haiti following the earthquake to assist in the disaster recovery efforts throughout the island.
